Art for holiday lets

Holiday lets are photographed once and lived in by hundreds. The walls have to perform on the listing photo, hold up to guests, and stay legible in the corner of every Instagram tag. We supply hosts with hand-framed prints sized and chosen for both jobs.

Why us for this sector

What a holiday lets project needs from its art supplier.

  • Broad-appeal subjects, regional accents

Guests come from everywhere. The art needs to feel placeful without being tied to a niche taste. We lean towards landscapes, considered abstracts, and small studies that fit the regional character of a let without becoming caricature.

  • Damage-tolerant framing

Frames in lets take more knocks than residential ones. We default to mouldings with rounded corners and sealed acrylic glazing — safer for guests, easier to clean, and replaceable per print if one piece doesn't make it through a season.

  • Sized for the photograph and the wall

A print that reads on the listing photo isn't always the same print that reads in person at a kitchen table. We brief both and propose pairings that work for either.

Worth thinking about

Operational notes we’d raise on every brief.

  • Coastal humidity

Sea-air lets accelerate frame fatigue. We can specify sealed mouldings and conservation-grade tape for coastal properties — adds little to the per-piece cost, meaningfully extends life.

  • Wood vs aluminium

Aluminium frames take guest contact better than oak; oak photographs warmer. Mixing both within the same property is often the answer.

  • Replacement stock

For multi-property portfolios we keep a small held stock of every print used, sized identically, ready for next-day dispatch when something breaks.

A typical project

What working with us tends to look like.

A holiday-let host with two or three properties, briefing 8–14 prints per property — a statement piece above the sofa or bed, a coordinated set in the hallway, smaller works for the kitchen and second bedroom. Delivered framed and ready to hang.

Materials + longevity

The archival side of a holiday lets project.

Every print on a holiday letsbrief is an archival giclée on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm, Wilhelm-rated for 100+ years under glass, made to order in our Surrey workshop and framed by hand with UV-filtering acrylic as standard. FSC paper, pigment inks rather than dye, UK supply chain on the framing, and no inventory destruction because nothing’s printed until it’s ordered. We’ll include the FSC certificates, Wilhelm documentation, and Hahnemühle data sheets in the project pack on request.
