Who we are
Clark & Darcey Ltd (“we”) is the data controller for personal information you give us when you shop or browse clarkanddarcey.com. You can reach our data protection contact at hello@clarkanddarcey.com.
What we collect, and why
We only collect what we need to fulfil your order and run the gallery:
- Order details — your name, email, phone, shipping and billing address. Stored on Stripe (our payment processor), used to ship your prints and email your receipt. Lawful basis: performance of contract.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Cart contents— kept in your browser’s local storage until you check out or clear it. Doesn’t leave your device until you submit the order.
- Anonymous analytics — Vercel Web Analytics collects page views and basic device info without using cookies and without tracking individuals across sites. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
Who we share data with
- Stripe — payments and order records. Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Royal Mail / DHL / Parcelforce — to deliver your order. They only get the name, address and parcel weight.
- Vercel — hosts the site and runs the anonymous analytics.
- Sanity.io — content management system; never holds personal data, only the artwork catalogue.
We never sell your data. We’ll only disclose it if we’re legally required to (e.g. a court order).
How long we keep it
Order records are kept on Stripe for as long as UK tax law requires (currently 6 years). Anonymous analytics are aggregated and don’t identify you, so we keep them indefinitely.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or stop using your data, or to send a copy to another provider. Email us — we’ll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
The site uses only essential storage: a cart kept in your browser’s local storage. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and our analytics provider (Vercel) is cookieless. If that changes we’ll show a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set.
Changes
We’ll post any changes here. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent version.
